997-998.

Isn't It Annoying...

... When the last person to use up
all the toilet paper hasn't replaced the roll
and you dont realize this till it's a, uhm, little too late ...
***
... When you live in a part of the world that doesn't use toilet paper
and yet you keep coming across these toilet paper jokes on the internet
that don't make much sense to you!!!

***
Did you know:
* The average tree can produce 810 rolls of TP
* Average daily worldwide production of TP is 83 million rolls (= 37.5 million trees per year)
* 70-75% of the world does not use TP. If they did, it would mean cutting 125 million trees per year for producing TP.
* At ~300 trees per acre, 125 million trees = ~417,000 acres of trees
* At a rainforest-deforestation rate of 2.4 acres per second, 417,000 acres = ~2 days worth of rainforest deforestation.
* So I guess we should thank our stars that at the current rate of consumption, only 14 hours of tropical ranforest deforestation are literally being flushed down the toilet each year. (Try not to be depressed).
