Isn't It Annoying...

...When Daylight-Savings-Time effects the clocks, but you just can't remember if the clock is supposed to move forward or back this time around... ? (And then, for some time, all the clocks in your home are out of sync with one another and you're never quite sure what the correct time is...)


* Although the idea of Daylight Savings Time has been around since the mid-19th century, Germany was the first country to put the idea into practice in 1916 (done primarily to conserve coal during wartime)
* There is enough criticism of DST that many countries have stopped supporting it (In the map below: Blue: Uses DST, orange:Stopped using DST, Red:Never used DST):
* The mnemonic my kids taught me to help me remember which way to turn the clock: 'Spring ahead, Fall behind'
